The IEEE P802.1DP standard specifically addresses aerospace onboard Ethernet communications by delivering virtually unlimited bandwidth and leveraging economies of scale similar to those seen in automotive and industrial sectors. This standard enables the integration of mixed-criticality traffic while simplifying network architectures and reducing costs. TSN also supports precise synchronization through protocols like IEEE 802.1AS, ensuring accurate timing for mission-critical applications such as satellite control loops or avionics systems.
