Solutions to enable Wireless applications
Wireless Infrastructure
The 5G fronthaul network, delivering connectivity between the radios and the baseband, is an essential part of a wireless infrastructure and is key to ensure the best 5G performance.
Wireless Infrastructure
It is based on standardized Ethernet Packet-based fronthaul and facilitates centralized RAN architectures using standard technologies, which is lowering the transport deployment and maintenance costs.
The fronthaul network is designed to support all generations of wireless network traffic (CPRI and eCPRI), support the increasing bandwidth of radio systems, support accurate timing between the baseband and radio and ensure low latency.
This requires specialized wireless protocols like eCPRI and CPRI as well as Ethernet components for end-nodes, switches and gateways.
Wireless Infrastructure
To meet the stringent timing requirements of certain applications, wireless fronthaul equipment often requires support for 802.1AS for precise timing and 802.1 TSN for guaranteed data delivery. Additionally, secure links can be established through the implementation of 802.1AE MACsec.
Comcores is having a full suite of Ethernet solutions and gateways to address the needs from the radio to the baseband.
