MACsec Engine

Overview

Comcores MACsec IP provides Ethernet Layer 2 Security for data confidentiality and data integrity as standardized in IEEE 802.1AE. It protects components in Ethernet network especially high-speed Ethernet used in cloud, data center, 5G, industrial and automotive. The MACsec IP is a fully compliant solution with a fixed latency that provides line-rate encryption and supports VLAN-in-clear.

The core is configurable and is prepared for easy interfacing with Comcores MAC and PCS solutions. It implements 64-bit AXI-S input and output data interfaces. It offers flexibility on integration with IEEE1588 timestamping and Express and Preemptable traffic. It additionally includes a software tool for MACsec Key Agreement Protocol IEEE 802.1X integration.

Deliverables

The IP core comes deeply verified and with an extensive documentation that, among others, includes Product Brief and User Manual. The product comes with Synthesis script for Synopsys Design Compiler, Timing Constraints in Synopsys SDC format and Direct support by Comcores engineers. The core will by default come in an encrypted format. Source code option is available.
