2023-02-14 | What is Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN)?
Feb. 14, 2023
TSN, or Time-Sensitive Networking, is a technology based on the IEEE 802.1Q standard. It has evolved from the Ethernet technology currently used to carry all types of traffic, for which ethernet was not originally intended, such as multiple data flows with different timing requirements, commonly found in Audio Video Bridging (AVB), automotive and industrial automation applications. TSN sits in Layer 2 of the OSI Model.

2022-10-31 | What is Interlaken
Oct. 31, 2022
Interlaken was introduced in 2006 as a high-speed chip-to-chip interface and a reliable packet transfer mechanism. It was inspired by XAUI and SPI4.2, and combined the best of both into one protocol. It combines the serial, channelized interface from XAUI with the flow control capabilities of SPI4.2. Interlaken provides a standardized serial interface that is agnostic of underlying SerDes implementations. It ensures reliable transfer of data over a configurable number of physical connections and can be configured to support multiple lane configurations

2022-09-12 | Unlock your chips full data throughput potential with Interlaken
Sep. 12, 2022
In the early 2000’s XAUI was falling short on link flexibility, and a search for an alternative chip-to-chip data transfer interface started. The eventual outcome was a new standard, namely the Interlaken standard. the Interlaken standard married the best of XAUI’s serialized data and SPI’s flow control capabilities. We will explore more about the Interlaken standard in our whitepaper.
